Glow in the darkUpdated 11 hours ago

Glow in the Dark is one of our most unique materials, a phosphorescent film that absorbs light and then glows when the lights go out. It's the only material in our range that keeps working after dark.

What Is Glow in the Dark?

Glow in the Dark is a specialty vinyl with a built-in phosphorescent layer. The glow effect comes from the material itself, not from the ink. After being exposed to natural or artificial light, the material stores that energy and releases it as a visible glow in dark environments. The base material is produced using Jessup Glo Brite phosphorescent film.

Key Features

  • Built-in phosphorescent layer that glows after light exposure.

  • The glow comes from the material, not the printed ink.
  • Permanent adhesive for secure, lasting application.
  • Unique effect that no other material in our range can replicate.

Lamination

Glow in the Dark has no lamination. This is intentional, lamination would block UV light from reaching the phosphorescent layer, significantly weakening the glow effect.

What Is It Best For?

Glow in the Dark stickers are perfect for safety and emergency signage, kids' room decor and fun designs, nightclub, bar, and event branding, light switch and doorway markers, creative and novelty sticker projects, and any design that needs to be visible in the dark.

Design Tips

  • The glow effect is only visible in areas where no ink is printed. Any part of the sticker covered by your artwork will block the glow.

  • A white underprint layer is applied beneath the artwork for print quality, which further reduces glow in printed areas.
  • For the strongest glow, leave parts of your design transparent so the phosphorescent material can shine through.
  • Silhouettes and outlines work especially well, letting the glow fill the open areas.
  • If your design fully covers the sticker surface, the glow will only be visible around the small border area.

Good to Know

The border area will glow in the dark, just like any other unprinted part of the material. The glow is most visible after the sticker has been charged by exposure to light, and it fades gradually over time in darkness. For the best effect, expose the sticker to bright light before viewing in the dark.

Let your stickers shine, even when the lights go off!
