How to Prepare Your Artwork for the Stickerize EditorUpdated a month ago
Our editor is designed to make sticker creation as simple as possible. To get the best results, here's how to prepare your artwork before uploading it.
What You See Is What You Get
The Stickerize editor shows you a 1:1 preview of how your final sticker will look. This means your uploaded file should be the final graphic — exactly as you want it to appear on the sticker.
How to Prepare Your File
- Upload your final design as a clean image — no cut lines, no bleed, and no alignment marks. Our system handles all of that automatically.
- Remove the background unless it's intentionally part of your design. If your artwork has a colored background that you want on the sticker, keep it. Otherwise, use a transparent background (PNG format works best for this).
- Make sure the design is the right size. The editor will detect the dimensions of your image, and you can adjust the sticker size from there.
- Use high resolution — at least 300 DPI is recommended for sharp, professional-looking prints.
What You Don't Need to Include
- Cut lines — our algorithm automatically generates the correct cut line and bleed based on the shape you choose in the editor.
- Bleed area — no need to add extra space around your design; we handle that during production.
- Layer structure — unlike custom PDF orders, the editor doesn't require separate layers for artwork, cut lines, or white underprint.
Supported File Formats
We support PNG, JPG/JPEG, GIF, TIFF, WEBP, PDF, and SVG. For the best results with transparent backgrounds, use PNG or SVG.
Quick Tips
- Think of the editor as a direct preview — upload exactly what you want your sticker to look like.
- If your design has fine details or small text, zoom in to make sure everything is crisp and readable.
- Use our built-in AI tools to upscale low-resolution artwork or remove backgrounds if needed.
If you're ever unsure about your file, just upload it and check the preview in the editor. You can always leave us a comment directly in the editor, and we'll be happy to help!
